Open enrollment occurs three times a
year: spring, summer, and fall/ interterm via telephone or in person
at our Overland Park or Wichita campus sites.
You can save
money and increase your chances of getting the courses you want
by enrolling by the early tuition deadline. MAED cohorts
enroll together at the beginning of their program.
For open-enrollment courses with a
pre-class assignment, your textbook(s) will be shipped to you along
with a course syllabus approximately two weeks prior to the first
day of class. If your instructor does not require any type of pre-class
assignment, or if you registered within five business days or less
of the course start, your materials will be waiting for you in
the classroom on your first day.
For
students enrolled in our MAEd cohort program, materials will be
delivered either to your classroom or shipped directly to your
home based on your course calendar. Whenever possible, materials
for your next two courses will be delivered together. For
assistance with textbooks, please email HELPATSPGS@BAKERU.EDU.
Your calendar is available on-line
via My Baker Portal. Academic
Advisors can help you make changes to your schedule when necessary.
Students are limited to six total
hours of transfer credit, which includes graduate level courses
from regionally accredited institutions and Baker University’s
Continuing Education courses provided they have been completed
within the last six years.
All
credits considered for transfer must have been completed prior
to entering the degree program. Details on tranfering credits
can be found in the Baker University
Catalog and Student Handbook.
Requirements for your specific program
are explained in depth at information meetings scheduled throughout
the year and conducted by department faculty. Prior to graduation,
you must attend a final portfolio meeting and present your completed
portfolio. All portfolios are assessed and are available
for pickup at the Overland Park or Wichita Baker University office.
