Faculty Classroom Simulation

Candidates select a topic in their field and design a 10-minute classroom session. The topic of the simulation should allow for group interaction during a limited time period. The style of presentation reflects the style to be used for adult learners in an accelerated learning environment. The use of visual and other teaching aids is encouraged. Prospective faculty members and administrative staff members serve as the class for the simulation. Candidates will also participate in a 20-minute round table discussion. An evaluation team of staff, other faculty, and students observe the session to evaluate content, teaching style, and the presenter’s interaction with group members. Candidates do not compete for faculty positions.
